Jakarta Man Basketball Beats West Java to Book Final Ticket

The Jakarta Man Basketball team beat West Java team in over time on semifinal of PON XXI Aceh-Sumut 2024 at Harapan Bangsa Sport Building, Banda Aceh, Sunday (9/8).

West Java controlled the game with score 10-15 in the first quarter. In the second quarter, West Java team continued to press and managed to collect points and locked the score 20-29.

Jakarta team rose to catch up and managed to shorten the gap in the third quarter with score 41-43. Then the score went equal 55-55 in the fourth quarter.

Several violations from West Java players were maximized by Jakarta through free throws. Jakarta finally secured a ticket to the final after defeating West Java with a score of 62-60.

Hendrick Xavi Yonga became the star of after contributing a total of 19 points for Jakarta.
